Fixed carry handles and a banging sounds track make for a good time.
So I loved movies like Heat, Blood Diamond and Black Hawk Down had me full on raging.
Its hard sourcing parts these days, my GWOT M4 and Mod H take up a lot of my waiting and budgeting. So when I jumped on a Brownells upper, I wanted to go a retro inspired but practical route.
This means:
It won't be an true clone or even a clone build. The barrel length, twist rate, origin of parts and things like color will be with what is available or the best currently available.
Current Build:
Upper: Brownells C7
Upper Parts: Luth/Delton
Barrel: JSE 1:8 .223 Wylde
Gas System: Midlength
Lower: Aero AR15 Gen. 2
Lower Parts: Aero
Brownell's C7 upper. Stripped and came in a bag. Yours might come damaged the way they pack it.
With Luth AR parts. Tear Drop forward assist, A1 sight and charging handle.
I couldn't source the original style flashlight they would have used in the movies or actual operations (Acid Gambit/Gothic Serpent) so I sourced a Surefire 6P flashlight. I'm still going to have to find a mount of some type that attached to the FSB instead of the barrel and possibly a upgraded LED module of some type.
Non functioning, but mocked up.
